Dr. Hendershot is a Senior Scientist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Pharmacology & Toxicology at the University of Toronto. Dr. Hendershot’s research focuses on the etiology, treatment and behavioural pharmacology of addictive behaviours. Specific areas of interest include cognitive, genetic and psychopharmacological risk factors for the development of substance use disorders, and behavioural pharmacology of alcohol and other drugs, and the application of human laboratory models to study addiction liability and treatment efficacy. Dr. Hendershot supervises graduate students through the Graduate Department of Psychology, the Graduate Department of Psychological Clinical Science, and the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology at the University of Toronto.
