Dr. Bernard Le Foll appointed to CIHR Governing Council

Congratulations to Dr. Bernard Le Foll, a professor in the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology, on his recent appointment to the Governing Council of the CIHR. Dr. Le Foll is a senior scientist specializing in drug addiction within the Institute for Mental Health Policy Research at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). Additionally, Dr. Le Foll is chair of addiction psychiatry within the Department of Psychiatry of University of Toronto and a professor in the departments of Family and Community Medicine, Psychiatry, Institute of Medical Sciences and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. He is also Vice-President Research and Academics and Chief Scientific Officer of the Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care. Dr. Le Foll is a francophone. As a beneficiary of his efforts locally, the Department would like to thank Dr. Le Foll for generously dedicating his time and expertise. We look forward to the impact that his work will bring to the academic community more broadly in Canada.
