Meghan Chenoweth, PhD
Dr. Meghan Chenoweth completed an Honours B.Sc. in Bio-Medical Science at the University of Guelph, followed by an M.Sc. in Medical Sciences at McMaster University. In 2015, she obtained her PhD in Pharmacology at the University of Toronto in the laboratory of Dr. Rachel Tyndale where she is now a Postdoctoral Fellow. Dr. Chenoweth’s research is in the area of Pharmacogenetics, where she uses genome-wide approaches to identify genetic factors that influence nicotine metabolism and cigarette smoking behaviours. The ultimate goal of this research is to be able to use this genetic information to create precision medicine approaches for treating nicotine dependence.
