The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology is pleased to offer the following categories of summer research awards to undergraduate students on a competitive basis:
- Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP)
- Health research in other areas, General Medicine (1 award)
- Dr. John P. Mitchell Award in the disease area cancer (1 award)
- Cardiovascular, Heart (1 award)

- Undergraduate Summer Research Project Studentship (1 award)

- Susan R. George Summer Research Student Award (2 awards)

- Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC)
- Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA) (1 award)
- New this year, students who self-identify as Black or Indigenous will be funded by NSERC above and beyond the department's allocation.

- University of Toronto Excellence Awards
- New this year, a Health & Life Sciences (HLS) sector was added and the competition will be adjudicated by the Temerty Faculty of Medicine.

- CIHR and SSHRC Undergraduate Student Research Awards for Black Students
- This is a university-wide competition with 4 SSHRC and 9 CIHR awards in total.
